EcoParklet’s FSC-Certified Wood

The wood used is red pine (pinus sylvestris) from sustainably gmanaged European forests bearing the FSC eco-certification. This seal guarantees that the wood comes from properly managed forests in adherence with strict international sustainability standards. Thanks to this responsible management, forests regenerate stronger and healthier. The wood contributes to user comfort, both on cold and very hot days, thanks to its thermal properties. At the end of the product’s useful life, the wood is also reusable, recyclable and biodegradable.

Low Maintenance

The wood used is subjected to an autoclave treatment (risk class 4) so that it can be in contact with the ground, fresh water and exposed to permanent moisture. Therefore, no action is required to protect the wood against insect or fungus infestation. The wood can be cleaned with water, even pressurised water. In the event of graffiti, the wood surface can be sanded until it is removed. The wooden surface of the flooring has been laboratory tested to guarantee a Class 3 slip resistance according to the UNE-ENV 12633: 2003 standard. Metal elements such as hinges, height adjusters and nuts and bolts are protected against rust.
